✅ As part of the Pythagoras Erasmus+ activities, funded by the European Union, Dr. Mohamed Metwally, Dean of Training and Community Service at the College of Pharmacy – Arab Academy for Science and Technology, presented a two-day workshop on Sunday 25 and Monday 26 August 2024 entitled “Implementation of Statistical Process Control in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing”, to integrate statistical process control (SPC) techniques into good manufacturing practices (GMP) in the pharmaceutical industry.
📌 The workshop aims to develop the Good Manufacturing Practices course offered by the college to Bachelor of Pharmacy students using statistical methodologies and process control tools.
📌 This ensures that students are trained to apply SPC principles in the pharmaceutical sector and the latest methods to achieve efficiency standards in the pharmaceutical manufacturing process and support digital transformation in pharmaceutical education.
🎯 The #workshop was coordinated by the #Pythagoras Project Team, Prof. Basant Ehab and Prof. Boutros Youssef, under the supervision of the Dean of the College, and brought together all faculty members and teaching assistants specializing in pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical manufacturing technology of the College.
